Sandwave 1: Displaced Topography 3D Printed PETG, Waxed Thread Installed in Back Bay Fens, Boston, MA 50" x 32" x 2" 2021 The debut piece in a new series exploring sandwave surface topographies from the shores of Cape Cod Bay, this piece explores the temporal qualities of low-tide mudflats as a fingerprint of time, ephemeral and fleeting in nature. Displacing these topographies and positing them into a new landscape brings pause to the viewer, questioning what, why, and how such a topography may come into existence.
